It sure has been a busy month here at MechSE! September kicked off with the Engineering Career Fair, MechSE Corporate After-Hours, Graduate College ASPIRE Event, and great workshops such as Grainger Library Tools workshop.
Today I had the pleasure of visiting with prospective students at the Graduate College ASPIRE event, and they are meeting with MechSE faculty and students during the day. Later today Dr. Johnson, Associate Head for Graduate Programs, is giving a presentation on "How to Apply for External Fellowships" to MechSE students, and I hope to see you there!
Coming up this Friday is Engineering at Illinois Hall of Fame! Check out the 2013 Inductees at this website. You can catch the induction ceremony on Friday, September 27th, at 4:00 p.m. in the Beckman Auditorium.
Next week I get to start coordinating schedules for our annual MERGE attendees. It looks like it's going to be another great event this year, and I think we'll have more attendees than ever! You can read more about the MERGE program at this page.
