Today I had the pleasure of assisting some of our recently admitted students during the Community of Scholars Campus Visit Program (COS), which introduces prospective students from populations underrepresented in graduate education to their admitted graduate programs, to peers among prospective students in their units, and to current Illinois graduate students across campus.  I'm excited to say that some of the students who visited today have already accepted their offer of admission and will be joining us this Fall!

I hope to see COS participants and other eligible students participate in the Graduate College Summer Pre-Doctoral Institute (SPI).  You can read more about this opportunity at this website.  I highly recommend watching the video which will let you hear what past SPI participants have to say about the program.  Participants also receive many program benefits which are listed at this site.  Interested students must apply to this program in order to be considered for the institute.  If you are eligible for this program and are interested in participating, please contact me!
