ME 530: Fatigue Analysis

Class Description:

Examines fatigue analysis methods for the design of structures and components; includes stress life, strain life, and crack propagation approaches; considers multi-axial and high temperature fatigue; emphasis is placed on the interrelationship between material properties, geometry, and design methodology appropriate for the wide range of mechanical engineering components. Prerequisite: ME 430 or consent of instructor. 4 hours.
