Graduate Student Profile - Eduardo Torrealba
There were a lot of reasons for me to choose Illinois over the other schools I was looking at. Chief among them was the opportunity to work with Dr. King, but I also liked the great reputation that the school had coupled with its location in the Midwest and the slightly more laid back culture that came with this area. Another big factor was the presence of the Technology Entrepreneur Center (TEC) and the growing community down in the Research Park, specifically at the EnterpriseWorks incubator. In the end, I knew that if I could make it at Illinois I could make it anywhere, so I was excited about the opportunity to study interesting problems in a world-class environment with great people.
