Why Mechse?

There were a lot of reasons for me to choose UIUC over the other schools I was looking at. Chief among them was the opportunity to work with Dr. King, but I also liked the great reputation that the school had coupled with its location in the idwest and the slightly more laid back culture that came with this area. Another big factor was the presence of the technology entrepreneurship center (TEC) and the growing community down in the research park, specifically at the EnterpriseWorks incubator. In the end, I knew that if I could make it at Illinois I could make it anywhere, so I was excited about the opportunity to study interesting problems in a world class environment with great people.
