The MechSE Bucket List was a two-week event in November 2014 open to all students in the department. Seven teams of four competed to complete 22 fun activities to score the most points. For a team to receive credit, they had to submit a picture or video of at least two of their members performing the bucket list item (bonus points if more members were involved). The MechSE Advancement Student Committee organized the event and tabulated the results. The winning teams were given a variety of MechSE-branded gear.

Some of the Bucket List activities included: Create and perform a MechSE Song (5 points); Open the Puzzle Case (5 points); Take a group picture (at 4am? 3am? LATE) at MEL with time stamp (3 points); Selfies with professors (3 points); Get lunch with a professor (5 points); Build a simple machine (not for a class) (3 points); Build a MechSE snowman (3 points); Tweet your best MechSE pick-up line (1 point); Find a #MechSE asleep (3 points); Get to class using a Rube Goldberg contraption (i.e. get to class in a weird way) (5 points).
