Freund named an inaugural editor of Physical Review Fluids
Professor and Kritzer Faculty Scholar Jonathan Freund has been named an inaugural Associate Editor of Physical Review Fluids, the most recent addition to the suite of journals from the American Physical Society, and one that is closely linked to the society’s Division of Fluid Dynamics. The first issue of the new journal will be published in spring 2016.
Freund joined MechSE in 2001, and he holds a joint faculty appointment in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. He is an affiliate of the Computational Science and Engineering program and the Beckman Institute. He co-directs the Center for Exascale Simulation of Plasma-Coupled Combustion.
Since 2014, Freund has served on the editorial board of the Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics, and he previously served as a guest editor for the publication, as well as an associate editor for Physics and Fluids, among other appointments.
