Professors Dimitrios Kyritsis and Nick Glumac are the recipients of the 2010 Mechanical Science and Engineering Alumni Effective Teaching Awards. They were honored recently at the department’s annual Awards Banquet, held in conjunction with the Alumni Board’s Annual Meeting. Kyritsis, an associate professor of mechanical science and engineering, received the Two-Year Award and Glumac, a Cannon Faculty Scholar, received the Five-Year Award.

For more than twenty years the MechSE Alumni Board has sponsored two Effective Teaching Awards. The awards were established so that alumni two and five years into their professional careers might have the opportunity to honor faculty members whose teaching they now perceive as having had the greatest impact on their careers.
