MechSE Profs Named as Top Advisors

The Engineering Council Outstanding Advisors Award recognizes excellence in undergraduate advising. The awards are determined by student votes, with the top 10 percent of engineering advisors receiving the honor. Among the 29 recognized for 2007-2008 are MechSE professors M. Quinn Brewster, Nicholas Fang, Placid Ferreira, Elizabeth Hsiao-Wecksler, Dimitrios Kyritsis, Prashant Mehta, Ty Newell, James Phillips, Michael Philpott and Mark Shannon. Jonathan Freund was named to the list by students in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, with which he holds a joint appointment.
