Associate Professor Jon Freund's research addresses fluid mechanics, molecular dynamics simulation of nanometer-scale flows, aerodynamic sound and compressible turbulence. He has recently been investigating the flow dynamics of red blood cells in microcirculation. He will have a joint appointment in mechanical and aerospace engineering.
