O’Neill named U.S. president of mCloud
Three-time MechSE alumnus Dr. Patrick O'Neill (BSME ’86, MSME ’88, PhD ME ’90) has joined mCloud Technologies Corp. as president, USA, and the company's general manager for its business in the United States.
O'Neill is an accomplished high-tech executive, having spent nine years at Honeywell International as vice-president, engineering and technology, where he expanded on-line revenue growth tenfold during his tenure and was the executive for several key partnerships including Oracle, Microsoft and Dell. While at Honeywell, Dr. O'Neill was the defining technology visionary for Honeywell's business in smart building technology.
O’Neill conducted his doctoral research under former professor Roy Crawford, a co-founder of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Center (ACRC) in MechSE. As an undergraduate student, he served as president of the ASHRAE student chapter, was a Knight of St. Patrick, and was a Bronze Tablet graduate.
According to its website, mCloud offers artificial intelligence based prescriptive maintenance, smart energy savings, and performance optimized solutions for wind turbines, transformers, oil and gas equipment, and HVAC products.
