Short Course Offers Practicing Engineers and Scholars a Deep Dive into Fatigue and Fracture

Practicing engineers, designers, graduate students and teaching faculty can refine their knowledge of fatigue and fracture during a two-day advanced course offered this September by the Fracture Control Program.

The course, which will be held September 25 and 26 in conjunction with the Fracture and Control Program's Advisory Committee Meeting, will feature the latest in:

• failure modes
• static strength and fracture
• the how and why of fatigue
• factors influencing fatigue
• fatigue of mechanical components
