Associate Professor Kimani Toussaint attended the National Academies’ 3rd Arab-American Frontiers of Science, Engineering, and Medicine in December.
 
Participants were chosen from the U.S. and the Arab world. Toussaint was 1 of 30 selected from the U.S. 
 
The three-day event was co-sponsored by the U.S. National Academies and KAUST with aim of bringing together researchers to discuss the latest advances in sensor technologies. 
 
"It was really great interacting with researchers from different fields and understanding the myriad ways in which sensor technologies impact our world, from agriculture to biomedical imaging," Toussaint said.
 
The event was held at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.
 
Professor Toussaint directs the PROBE laboratory in MechSE.
