Tucker Receives Campus Award

Charles Tucker IIICharles Tucker III, Alexander Rankin Professor of Mechanical Science and Engineering, has received the Campus Award for Excellence in Advising Undergraduate Students. In his 29-year career with the department, he has helped hundreds of students make wise decisions about their undergraduate education at the University of Illinois.

Charles Tucker III, Alexander Rankin Professor of Mechanical Science and Engineering, has received the Campus Award for Excellence in Advising Undergraduate Students. In his 29-year career with the department, he has helped hundreds of students make wise decisions about their undergraduate education at the University of Illinois. As Associate Head for Undergraduate Programs, Professor Tucker led the development of a mission statement for the office that focuses on helping students have the very best educational experience possible. He has previously received the Accenture Award for Excellence in Advising from the College of Engineering, and is a three-time recipient of the Engineering Council Award for Outstanding Advising.
