Wilbert F. Stoecker and John C. ChatoTwo MechSE emeritus professors have received top awards from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Wilbert F. Stoecker received the 2009 Louise and Bill Holladay Distinguished Fellow Award for continuous preeminence in home heating and cooling research. John C. Chato received the 2009 Distinguished 50-Year Member Award for outstanding service during the more than 50 years he has been a member.
