Professor Dimitrios Kyritsis wins the 2011 College of Engineering Teaching Excellence Award

MechSE professor Dimitrios Kyritsis was selected to receive the 2011 College of Engineering Teaching Excellence Award. In the past few years he has been named on the campus List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent by Their Students for Intermediate Thermodynamics, Fundamental of Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer. The College of Engineering Teaching Excellence Award honors his extensive knowledge in energy systems and power generation. He shares with students his specialty in research for combustion, laser diagnostics, autonomous power generation and reactive fluid flow.

Kyritsis also works with The Center for Advanced Bio-Fuel Combustion Engines (GATE) that helps teach graduate students about the mechanical and agricultural/biological issues related to automotive bio-fuel combustion.
