Shiv Kapoor wins Campus Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring

Professor Shiv Kapoor Professor Shiv Kapoor receives a $2,000 cash prize and $10,000 in fellowship funds for the next year in honor of his outstanding mentorship with graduate students. He won the 2011 Campus Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring. The award goes to tenured faculty that has taught on the Urbana-Champaign campus for at least 5 years.

Professor Shiv Kapoor receives a $2,000 cash prize and $10,000 in fellowship funds for the next year in honor of his outstanding mentorship with graduate students. He won the 2011 Campus Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Mentoring. The award goes to tenured faculty that has taught on the Urbana-Champaign campus for at least 5 years. Faculty are evaluated on their development of courses and curricula, mentoring, professional development, leading workshops on mentoring, and advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning or making new multidimensional contributions beyond the classroom or laboratory.
