Engine Modeling Lab

Research is on multi-dimensional modeling of two-phase turbulent reacting flows, internal combustion engines liquid atomization and spray systems. Current interests are modeling of the film flow generated during the port injection process in gasoline engines; modeling of spray atomization due to the back flow through intake valves; interaction of diesel sprays and bowl geometry in diesel engines; and modeling of direct-injection stratified-charge gasoline engines.
